Member Code of Conduct

Membership in the Stoney Creek Chamber of Commerce is a privilege and carries a responsibility to uphold the values, reputation, and integrity of the Chamber and the broader business community.

Members agree to:

Professional and Ethical Conduct

• Conduct business and professional activities in a reputable, ethical, and respectful manner
• Provide honest, accurate, and quality service to customers and clients
• Represent products and services truthfully in all communications and advertising

Respect for the Chamber

• Support and promote the mission and initiatives of the Chamber
• Respect the reputation, staff, volunteers, and fellow members
• Not engage in conduct that could harm the Chamber’s credibility or standing

Compliance with Laws

• Comply with all applicable municipal, provincial, and federal laws and regulations

Member Engagement

• Participate in Chamber events and initiatives where possible
• Contribute positively to the local business community
• Engage respectfully with other members and stakeholders

Use of Chamber Platforms

• Ensure that any information shared through Chamber platforms (including website listings and the member portal/app) is accurate and appropriate
• Not post or share misleading, false, or inappropriate content
• Acknowledge that members are responsible for the content they submit or manage

Inclusive and Respectful Environment

• Promote a business environment free from harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour.
• Treat all individuals with professionalism, dignity, and respect.

Accountability

Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct, the Chamber’s By-laws, or Board-approved policies may result in review, suspension, or termination of membership.

Membership dues are non-refundable.
